FAQ

What does "brand-agnostic" mean?

It means we don't have a preferred brand. We carry ranges from multiple manufacturers — including Takomo, Vice, and Gimar (near-exclusive in SA), and Avoda and Fujimoto (exclusive to Swing Shack and Stick). Plus the full major brand ranges: Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, Ping, Mizuno, Cobra, Srixon, Miura, and more. TrackMan tells us what's working for your swing. You hit what performs best, not what has the biggest logo on the headcover.

How long does a fitting take?

A full bag fitting typically takes 2–3 hours. A single-club fitting (driver or putter) is usually 60–90 minutes. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you book, based on what you need.

Do I need to buy clubs after the fitting?

No obligation. You'll leave the fitting knowing exactly what specs work for your swing — regardless of whether you buy that day. We can refer you to a club builder or retailer, or you can take the spec sheet to any fitting centre worldwide.

Can I get fitted if I'm a beginner?

Yes. Beginners benefit just as much from a proper fitting — sometimes more, because you're building habits from scratch. We fit for your current swing and give you specs that match where you are, not where you think you should be.

What's the difference between a TrackMan fitting and a simulator fitting?

TrackMan is the measurement tool. A simulator (like those at Swing Shack's indoor bays) uses TrackMan to display courses and ball flight. A fitting session happens in a dedicated bay with a fitter — you're there to find the right clubs, not play a round.

How much does a fitting cost?

Fitting prices vary by studio and type of fitting. Contact the studio directly or use our contact form for a quote. A fitting session is an investment — but it's the last time you buy clubs that don't work for you.

Do I need to bring my current clubs?

Yes, if you have them. We want to see what you're currently hitting — strike patterns, distances, dispersion. It helps us understand what's changed and what's working. If you don't have clubs yet, that's fine too.

Which studio should I go to?

It depends on what you need and where you are. Swing Shack in Randburg has four TrackMan bays, coaching, fitting, and indoor golf. Stick in Paarl is a dedicated fitting studio. If you're unsure, contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.
